2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Data (Google Sign-In)

When you sign in with your Google account, we receive:

• Name and email address
• Profile picture

This data is used solely for authentication and is processed by Google and Firebase Authentication.

2.2 Favorite Destinations (Firebase)

If you save favorite destinations, they are stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) linked to your account. This data:

• Contains location names and coordinates you explicitly save
• Is used to provide quick access to your preferred destinations
• Can be deleted at any time from within the App

2.3 Contacts (Opt-In)

If you enable the contacts feature, your phone contacts are synced to Firebase (Google Cloud) linked to your account. This data:

• Is uploaded only when you explicitly enable the feature
• Is used to enable hands-free calling and contact display while driving
• Can be disabled at any time, which removes the data from Firebase

2.4 Notifications (Opt-In)

If you grant notification access, the App can read incoming notifications to display them on the car interface and optionally read them aloud using text-to-speech. Notification content:

• Is processed in real time on your device
• Is not stored or transmitted to our servers
• Can be disabled at any time by revoking notification access in device settings

2.5 Location Data

The App uses your device's GPS location to provide navigation, maps, weather, and nearby points of interest. Location data is:

• Processed in real time for core functionality
• Sent to third-party mapping and navigation services (see Section 4) only when actively using navigation or search features
• Not stored or tracked — we do not record your location history on our servers

2.6 Ride History (Local, Opt-In)

If you enable the destination prediction feature, the App stores your ride history locally on your device as a JSON file. This data:

• Is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers
• Is used to predict frequent destinations
• Is automatically deleted after 6 months
• Can be disabled or deleted at any time in the App settings

2.7 Calendar Data (Opt-In)

If you enable calendar integration, the App reads events from your Google Calendar that contain a GPS location, to suggest navigation to upcoming events. This data:

• Is read in real time and not stored
• Is processed only on your device
• Can be disabled at any time in the App settings

2.8 Music Data

The App may access music playback information (currently playing track, artist) to display album art and provide playback controls. No listening history is stored or transmitted to our servers.

2.9 API Keys (Opt-In)

The App allows you to enter your own Google Gemini API key for enhanced AI features. If provided, this key is:

• Stored locally on your device in encrypted shared preferences
• Used only to authenticate requests to the Gemini API
• Never sent to our servers

2.10 Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage statistics
• We do not serve advertisements
• We do not build user profiles
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes

We do not operate our own data servers. Cloud services are provided by Google (Firebase) with data centers in the EU/EEA.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict processing
• Data portability - receive your data in a structured format
• Object to processing
• Withdraw consent at any time (for opt-in features)

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data:

• All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Local data is stored in the App's private storage area
• Authentication is handled by Google/Firebase secure infrastructure

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
